Lefteris has over 18 years experience in the area of Information Risk, Security Management and IT Auditing. He currently serves as a Director of Information Security Europe for Ahold Delhaize, responsible for Security Governance, Compliance, Policies, Awareness and Risk Management. Ahold Delhaize is a global retailer with over 65 billion EUR revenue with presence in Greece via AB Vassilopoulos & ENA Food operations. In the past, he held different positions in IT audit and IT operational teams in multinational and multicultural enterprise environments in different sectors (retail/telecommunications).

He is an active member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and a Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC). He holds a BSc in Electronic Engineering, an MSc in Data Communication Systems and an MBA.
