Thanos Agelopoulos is currently the Chief Risk and Actuarial Officer  of Ydrogios Insurance in Greece. He started his career in the UK where he worked as an actuary for LloydsTSB, St. Paul Travellers and Converium Re. Upon return to Greece, he worked as a consultant actuary for many non-life/general insurance companies, advising on reserving, pricing, Solvency II and data quality issues. In Ydrogios Insurance among otherς, he is in charge of Solvency II, Risk Management and  Data Quality frameworks as well as the Fraud and Visual analytics and IFRS 17 projects. He has studied Maths with Actuarial Science in Southampton University and holds an MSc in Actuarial Management from City University in UK
