Petros Tsonis is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Ethniki Asfalistiki (National Insurance) since 2023. Petros is an expert in bridging the business-IT divide and driving the execution of digital transformation strategies through sustainable delivery and service management models. In the past, Petros has held CIO, Global Delivery Partner Executive, ICT Manager, Director of Project Services positions for IBM, Allianz and Information Society. He holds an MSc in Advanced Information Systems from the University of Glasgow (UK) and a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from the Brunel University of West London (UK). Ethniki Asfalistiki, established 1891, is a leading force in the Greek insurance market, historically associated with the feeling of stability and trust with a wide network of insurance agents throughout the country. It is affiliated with a significant financial services group with branches in Cyprus and Romania, and is majority owned by CVC Capital Partners’ Fund VII since March 2022.
