Experience

A partner with KPMG member firms for over 20 years, Mary has over 30 years of experience of providing advisory and audit services to the insurance industry with a particular focus on advising on accounting and regulatory change.  Since 2017, her main focus has been on the implementation of IFRS 17 and she is a member of the IASB’s Transition Resource Group  on IFRS 17.  Her philosophy is to use accounting and regulatory change as a catalyst to build the finance and actuarial function of the future.

Having lived and worked in Europe, North America and Asia Pacific Mary brings a truly global perspective and her experience covers the full range of insurers from Life and Health, Personal Lines, Commercial Lines and Reinsurance.

Mary is a frequent speaker and commentator on the developments in the insurance industry, and travels widely to provide insights into global leading practices for KPMG’s clients. She is a member of the IASB’s IFRS 17 Transition Resource Group.
