Μάριος Αραμπατζής

Member of the Child & Youth Advisory Board, UNICEF Greece

Marios is 18 years old and lives in Petroupoli. He is a member of the Child & Youth Advisory Board of UNICEF Greece and a strong advocate for climate action and youth participation in decision- and policy making.

He started his journey within a youth action group, taking action again pollution and climate change in his community. This led up to his appointment as European Climate Pact Ambassador by the European Commission. Since 2022, he has been an active member of UNICEF’s U-Report platform for youth engagement, and has participated in several UNICEF initiatives, including the ETF-UNICEF research on career guidance in 2023. He is also a graduate of the Place4Hope summer academy for youth climate leaders, and has co-created a short film on water.

In addition, he has participated in numerous conferences on youth and climate change, including the 9th Our Ocean Conference Youth Leadership Summit. In November 2024, he participated to the COP29 in Azerbaijan, as part of the Greek delegation.

Marios is currently in his 1st year of undergraduate studies in International and European Studies at the Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, Greece.
