Kevin Allison

Geotechnology Director, Eurasia Group

Kevin Allison is a director in Eurasia Group's geo-technology practice, based in Berlin, Germany. Working at the intersection of technology and geopolitics, he focuses on how technology is fueling political disruption around the world, from nation-state competition around 5G networks, artificial intelligence, and other emerging technologies, to the spread of misinformation and new threats in cyberspace. Together with other members of the geo-technology practice, Kevin helps Eurasia Group's clients understand how these trends are shaping relationships between governments, companies, and non-state actors, and how governments' responses to these pressures affect regulation and technology policy.

Before joining Eurasia Group, Kevin was a correspondent for the Financial Times in London, New York, and San Francisco, where he covered Silicon Valley. He also worked as a columnist at Reuters and in global equity sales at UBS Investment Bank. Kevin holds a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from the University of Missouri and a master's degree in public policy from the Harvard Kennedy School, where he focused on science and technology policy. He was a Fulbright Scholar in Vienna, Austria, and a 2015 Journalism Fellow in Complex Systems Science at the Santa Fe Institute.
