Member of the Child & Youth Advisory Board, UNICEF Greece
Theodora is 16 years old and lives in Elefsina. She is a member of the Child & Youth Advisory Board of UNICEF Greece and a prominent youth advocate, strongly interested in addressing climate change and its impact on the planet and young people. She is active on raising awareness among the young generation about the importance of sustainable development and environmental responsibility, while promoting meaningful youth participation in decision-making.
In 2024, Theodora won the 1st prize for the submission of the best climate advocacy plan in a competition organized by UNICEF Greece and she participated to the COP29 in Azerbaijan as a youth delegate with the Greek delegation.
She also participated in the "Virtual Company" by Junior Achievement Greece, receiving "The Entrepreneurial School Award 2024" by suggesting and designing a Disaster Awareness Center aiming to prepare citizens for natural disasters caused by climate change. Moreover, while competing for the Foodathon organized by JA Europe and Africa, her project on the design of a digital application for the reduction of food waste was voted amongst the top10 participating projects. Through her participation to the Girls Go Circular programme, Theodora has also acquired a good understanding of the Circular Economy and its impact on environmental sustainability.
